New Year's Resolutions

It’s January 26, and this is my first blog of the new year. Just a little on the late side...

I’ve managed to catch 2 bad colds all before the end of January. New record! Definitely wasn’t on my list of New Year’s resolutions.

In the past, I usually just kept a mental list of goals I would like to accomplish for the year. Usually, I end up forgetting all about them before the end of the week. Last year and this year I have taken a moment at the beginning of the year to write out my goals.

Here are my 2015 goals:

1) Take a photo a day. (Already quit this one. I realized after a couple weeks of attempting to do this that my life is really not that interesting. I ended up taking a billion pictures of my dogs and my tea mugs. Don’t get me wrong I love my puppies and a good cup of tea, but seriously how many photos of that would you want to see? I’ll leave the selfies for Kim and Kanye.)

2) Read at least one book a month. (Haven’t checked this off yet, but I’ve started several, so if you combine them that makes one really weird book, right?)

3) Read through the entire Bible. (This is one of my big ones, and I’ve actually been keeping up-to-date with my plan! Yay!!)

4) Memorize a new bible verse every 2 weeks. (Still going!)

5) Run (or walk) in a 5K. (Yeah…just one…fingers crossed.)

6) Wake up really early once a month to see the sunrise. (Haven’t done it yet, but still got some time.)
